Manager Menu Functions

The POS manager menu includes various features used for the overall administration of the POS system.  Features listed on the Manager Menu and not explained elsewhere in the documentation include:

  1. Print Gift Receipt  - prints a receipt without price and payment info

  2. Print Daily Sales Report – prints a summary of the sales and payments for the register

  3. Manager Login – used to override current login with a manager login

  4. Restart Register – Restarts the register, equivalent of rebooting a computer

  5. Shutdown Register – Shuts down the register and powers it off

  6. Sync Data – Forces the POS system to retrieve updated price/item data from the server

  7. Update Program – Causes the POS program to check the server for program updates, and auto installs the program update if one is available.

  8. Upload Sales Summary – Forces the POS system to upload a Sale Summary.  This is necessary for Register Balancing purposes.  The Sale Summary can also be uploaded automatically on a daily basis.

  9. Reprint Post Receipt – Allows a receipt to be reprinted by supplying a transaction number.

  10. 10.   Change Media – allows some payment types to be exchanged, such as correcting issues where checks were entered as cash.

  11. 11.   Cash Check – Allows a check to be cashed

  12. 12.   Full Database Load – Causes the register to download all items and price info from the server

  13. 13.   Upload Log Files – Causes register to upload log files to the server.

  14. 14.   Close Program – Closes the POS program
